Mykola Katerynchuk: The European Party of Ukraine will have the status of the Observer at the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe
The Chairman of the European Party of Ukraine, People’s Deputy of Ukraine Mykola Katerynchuk will pay an official visit to the European Parliament on the invitation of the third and most important Parliamentary group in the European Parliament - Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE).
October 14-23, 2008 meetings with the ALDE group members of the Parliament and leading specialists of the EU institutions in Brussels and Strasbourg will be held. The People’s Deputy of Ukraine is planning also to attend the ALDE political group session and plenary sessions of the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
The President of the European Liberal-Democratic and Reformation Party which is a part of ALDE invited Mykola Katerynchuk to the ELDR headquarters office to discuss possibilities of obtaining the status of the Observer at the
Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe and analyze the political situation in Ukraine.
“This visit is the next evidence of adhesion of the European Party of Ukraine to its ideological principles and changes necessary to be implemented in Ukraine. In August 2008 during the Council sitting of the European Party of Ukraine the decision was made to increase cooperation with liberal-democratic political forces represented in the European Parliament. I believe that the result of the negotiations will be rendering to the European Party of Ukraine the status of the Observer at ALDE”,- Mykola Katerynchuk added.
