MPs Katerynchuk, Liapina Of OU-PSD Proposing Rada Pass Tax Code
Leader of the European Party, parliamentary deputies Mykola Katerynchuk and Ksenia Liapina of Our Ukraine-People's Self-Defense bloc faction are proposing that the Verkhovna Rada pass the Tax Code.
The relevant bill was registered with the parliament on March 14 under No. 2215.
Previously MP Katerynchuk intended to submit a draft Tax Code to the parliament before the end of February for consideration.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Katerynchuk favours preserving the simplified taxation system.
The deputy thinks that the simplified taxation system enables citizens to exercise their right for entrepreneur initiative and thus legally earn initial capital for expanding business.
The State Tax Administration's Chairman Serhii Buriak forecast that a Tax Code will be approved before July 2008.
The National Security and Defense Council stressed the importance of completing the drafting of the Tax Code.
